Description of Project
The overall objective of this project is the further strengthening of the administrative capacity of the National Labour Inspectorate relating to EU legislation in the field of occupational health and safety and labour legislation.
The purpose is to train the professional staff members at the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA) on occupational health and safety from a Labour Inspectorate perspective.

The project provides technical assistance, training and documentation on
  • Implementation of the vibration directive and related accident investigation skills
  • Implementation of the work equipment directive and related accident investigation skills
  • how to evaluate and manage noise at work and related accident investigation skills
  • how to evaluate ventilation and related accident investigation skills
  • the implementation of the electro magnetic frequency directive and related accident investigation skills
  • implementation of the optical radiation directive and related accident investigation skills
  • inspection procedures and on how to evaluate safety reports in line with the Seveso II directive
  • on efficient administrative/managerial services and to develop an operations manual for the OHSA with wider knowledge and expertise on organisational skills
  • how to evaluate and manage chemical agents at work
  • how to evaluate and manage biological hazards at work
  • how to evaluate and manage asbestos hazards at work
