SOCIEUX (Social Protection EU Expertise in Development Cooperation)
In June 2015 SOCIEUX, the European Commission’s technical assistance facility for social protection in development cooperation, managed by GVG and its partners, pursued its cooperation with the Social Security Institute of the State of Guanajuato (ISSEG) in Mexico which had already started with first activities in 2014 through a pensions training exercise and an assessment of ISSEG’s internal management system focusing on investment and risk management issues. The support provided by the two Spanish and German SOCIEUX experts was also the occasion to undertake a review of the Social Security Act of the State of Guanajuato in order to address potential needs for modification of the legislation.
