Description of Project
The objective is to assist the “State Employment Service” Agency (SESA) of Armenia to increase its efficiency and effectiveness in labour market intermediation and to develop a new/revised menu of active labour market programs (ALMPs) by providing technical assistance, training and related materials.

The assignment covers the following activities:
Job search skill training programs: Development of a job search skill training program and provision of training for SESA staff to implement this training. It was agreed with SESA that, in order to avoid repetition to other training activities and concentrate on new concepts, the job search training programme and tools will be implemented primarily during and through the Job Clubs.
Job Clubs: Promotion and set-up of Job Clubs within selected offices. Development of a concept including training material for Job Club Leaders and guidelines for participants of Job Clubs. Development and delivery of training, listing of necessary equipment and supporting of implementation.
Vacancy and Job Fairs: Organization of several Job Fairs by selected offices. To achieve this, the program will be designed, training developed and provided, as well as necessary equipment identified.
Employer contact services: Training staff of the SESA to improve contacts between employment offices and employers by refining vacancy identification procedures, as well as develop and implement training in employment offices to enhance cooperation. It was agreed with SESA that, in order to avoid repetition to other training activities and concentrate on new concepts, the employer contact programme and tools will be implemented primarily during and through the Job Fairs.
